Hello all,

I will be the new moderator at PokerForums.org and wanted to let you know that there will be many changes unveiled in the coming months. The first step will be a crackdown on the amount of Spam posts on the site. The administrators will be working hard over the next few days to delete all Spam posts and threads from the forums. If some of your content is deleted in the process I apologize, but in the end it is for the long-term betterment of the site and will make the site far more readable.

I will also be updating the forum rules stickies so please make an effort to read these posts in the coming days.

We are also asking you to keep any links, not relevant to the discussion, out of your posts. We will allow you to plug your personal sites and projects in your signature for the time being, so long as this privilege is not abused. So please do not try to work links into posts; they will be deleted and you will be warned and possibly banned if this behavior continues. Please understand that we are giving you an incredible opportunity to use your signature to promote your projects, do not think because we have given an inch you can take a mile and spam the forums with more links.

Our goal is to make this a fun, educational, and informative poker forum, which will only come about if all of our members are on board and abide by the rules. Spamming, Trolling, and other offensive conduct will not be tolerated. This forum was one of the strongest and tightest knit on the Internet in its heyday and we see no reason why we cannot once again acheive this.

I’m open to all comments and suggestions you may have, including ideas for new forums and sub-forums.
