This is a questionaire for those who are interested in volunteering for a moderator position here. We really need one (some) now, as more and more spammers seem to find their way here.
1. How old are you?
2. When you are moderating (warning others in a post, explaining why their topic was deleted, etc.) would you be able to use your best grammar and spelling, as well as write in a friendly manner?
3. What would you do if somebody created a thread advertising a poker site with their affiliate ID?
4. What would you do if somebody created a thread advertising their site (they work for the site you presume) without an affiliate ID?
5. What would you do if there was a thread where 2 or more people are flaming one another?
6. What is wrong with the current thread, and what would you do to fix it?
Tom: Is AA ALWAYS the best hand?
Bill: I think so.. I heard somewhere that it's better to have suited connected in some situations.. because flush drawing is better.. not sure though
Gary: Bill you're wrong.. AA is the best hand always.. no matter what.. (preflop of course).
Bill: Yeah.. probably is.. I'm not sure :P
Tom: thanks guys
Gary: Of course I'm right bill, I'm always right... hey bill - wanna play at pokerworld later?
bill: sure.. what time?
gary: 10 my time.. message me on AIM
bill: You're never on AIM!! just meet me there at 10 then.. k?
gary: yeah I'm on AIM.. just not always visisble to others...
bill: you shouldn't do that.. what's the point?
7. What would you do in this situation: You just deleted a post where somebody was advertising another poker forum to visit (it was his first post) and he responds with:
Why did you delete my post? I thought we were living in a democratic society where authorities didn't censor like that of the Nazi regime. What's your problem?

1. 18 years young
2. yes, and i wonder who that question is aimed at?
3. since i am not moderator yet i dont know your rules and i would do whatever you want for the appropriate moderator action after being told
4. same as 3...
5. if it isnt going anywhere except flaming lock it and tell them not to flame here use aim or something
6. lock it unless someone goes back on topic and tell them use aim or something. theres no need for them spamming
7. tell him to contact you because this isnt my site and i dont know if you want him advertizing here or not.
kid im a fine moderator and ill use the correct grammar. some of these questions were redundant and i dont know how you want to handle them so couldnt answer too well...

1.) 14 (yea I know too young)
2.) Yes, I use grammar when it is needed. If the post was official(warning/banning etc.) I would always use correct grammar.
3.) Follow standard mod. protocal. If the decision was mine, I would delete the thread and PM the user telling him its not allowed.
4.) I'm sorry I dont understand affiliate ID, I'd tell him not to create threads advertising unless you said it was allowed. I'm still thinking adversting for free is rather "corny" and most likely delete the thread/Pm the user
5.) PM each user telling them not to let it happen again. Delete the posts that are off topic( leave rest of useful thread)
6.) PM each user telling him to use PM, email, msn, or AIM to contact people. Delete off topic posts(leaving rest of useful thread)
7.) Honestly in a situation like this I'm likely to ban his account. (if he wants a new one that is fine with me) I'd tell him that unless we appear in the other poker forum's links page, it isn't fair for him to advertise here.
I've already said I'd be willing to monitor, I'm almost constantly on PF. I don't know if my age would be a problem. ( I asume I havent had any real ignorant/immature posts )“There's no sense in being precise when you don't even know what you're talking about.” - John von Neumann

2: I'm no english major, but i will do my best.
3: Delete the post and PM a warning to the poster
4: No different from last question
5: PM warn the two people to keep their arguments out of public posts, then delete or lock the thread if all it's used for is for insults and harassment
6: The posters have broken into a personal conversation. they should be warned to use the PM system to hold personal convos (that's the point of it existing) and restrict forum posting to useful comments/questions
7: Tell the person that the people at PokerForums do not appreciate advertizing without the express permission of the owner of the forums. If he has a problem with that or would like to legitimately advertize on PF, he/she can contact you.
Thanks for considering me. The questionaire idea was great, bringing up a bunch of possible scenarios of what will eventually happen. You might also want to create a poll of all applicants and see who the people think would make the best moderator after they all filled out this "test"Co-Host of LLPR with Pikachar and Bootsy on Thursday Nights

I don't want to speak for anyone, but I honestly think stevey would make a good mod. I have NEVER EVER heard anything but nice or constructive idea's from him. Of course if its me or him, Im going to push him off a building and take his .02/.04 bankroll.

Av8,
I like most of your answers, unfortunately there's the matter of the little 'incident' with you and bonchkid which is holding me back from making you a moderator..

Do i get the job? lol j/k There are ppl who want it more and i am not sure about my english so i will ask from the king of spamming to correct me when i am making mistakes (especially the stupid "on, in, at" that i insert randomly) and maybe after the site grows more i will try to become one.
But i wanted to ask if av8tor009 gave back the money that he lost, even at another site like pokerstars? If he hadnt and i was an admin i would had banned him from here. Its completely unacceptable.
