    Post Staff Changes at PFO

There has just been a bit of restructuring for PFO staff.

First, both Steve-O and DeeYakaBaka have been demodded and are now "Black Members" again. I will not get into the politics of the reasons here, as that was certainly part of the reason, but the decision was also made partly because they stopped actively moderating. Steve will be the first to admit that he hasn't actually moderated the site in at least a year.

Secondly, I have upgraded Pinguaq to a limited administrative position. Please keep in mind that this only grants a certain limited administrative access, but it does effectively give him more power and responsibility.

As a result, I've also changed the colour of the Administrator usergroup from red to purple (bring on the jokes) to help differenciate it from the Super Moderators usergroup. I've also created another private forum for Administrators to discuss private matters... which right now would only be me and Pinguaq.

As administrator, even with limited access, that puts Pinguaq in a position above the Super Moderators, which means that his policies and judgement will be passed down.

I know I'm not the only one with a job so it's not fair for me to always cry "busy" all the time, but I believe that by offloading some of the work and responsibility the site requires, that it will help PFO out in the end. In fact, this is something I should have done a long time ago.

I'll of course still be the one in charge of the major decisions, but by slowly passing on the torch (so to speak) to somebody who can cater better to the forum and give it the attention it needs and deserves, it should definitely improve the site.

Please do not turn this into a drama thread regarding the demodding of Steve and Dee. They haven't been banned or anything, they're just not super moderators anymore.

Could you please redirect me to the thread where I may mock them?

    el oh el

always nice to read this in the forums first instead of perhaps being given the respect of being sent a PM explaining things to me. I suppose better yet would have been if you were actually man enough to accept constructive criticism and discuss things instead of spitting your dummy out at the first opportunity you get.
Its also nice to know that me taking a few weeks off from poker for personal issues has resulted in me "stopping to actively moderate". The good wishes that you posted at the time in the mod forum now make me very pissed off as it is obvious at this stage that you could not have given two fucks what was going on - it really sums you up as a person to now turn around and do this after I make two critical posts in your direction.

And Wota, if you want a link to a relevant thread as a good reference point, you can search any of the numerous "great changes on the way" threads that have been posted by Kid in the past along with the reviewing the actual "great changes"

By effectively getting rid of two members who were genuinely interested in improving PFO and instead placing greater responsibility on someone who is nothing more than a self-titled "SPAM Nazi", you have summed up to me what your opinion on PFO actually is.

I have not been playing much poker lately and contribute little in terms of content. As a moderator I've kept an eye out for SPAM, libel, malicous posts, porn and other items that could negatively effect the site. As an administrator I will be able to use (granted, very little of,) my 15 years experience as an IT proffesional and website designer in assisting with owner with a few more tasks.

I can't comment on the other staff changes that have been announced because I was not involved or consulted, and have the same information as they others do from this post.

No offense Kid, but you could have left it at de-modded because I don't do any moderation. If you don't want drama brought up, you shouldn't say it was political Bad form sir, bad form. Especially since you never commented or contacted either of us.

And yes Dee, a simple pm would have been nice. Well at least i don't have to log in anymore to see if there's a thread in the mod forum Now I can just quickly see that the only thread update is NSFW

I've also created another private forum for Administrators to discuss private matters... which right now would only be me and Pinguaq
Exactly what this place needs, a super secret club, to put people on double secret probation.

Actually if you want a link wota, you could look in the mod forum (if you only could), because we kept our criticism private.

Now, could someone write daily articles for me, and run tournaments: I'm too busy at the moment as I'm bragging to a reporter about making 5 figures a month.. Oh. one other thing, I don't have the money to pay you, I'm broke. So how are those PFO tourneys doing??? And the news page is so current!

Time to get the defibrillator out

what you PM'd me Kid when you asked me to become a mod.

Obviously as a mod, there are alternative avenues to take.
what i replied at the time knowing that any issues could be dealt with in an adult fashion in the mod forum, even if those issues turned into arguments.

what i also said at the time.....

It would appear that those unwritten rules did indeed require me to agree with everything you said or did and that opinions were no longer required.

this was the one thing that was important as prior mods, for one reason or another, used the public forums to air grievances and as stated above, it just didnt add to the place in any way which is one reason why im pissed at this.

However, the major reason why im pissed at this is the manner in which you post here saying that i stopped actively moderating which seems like an attempt to say that I did nothing in the time before I took a break from all things poker related.

Prior to my little break I just took, I was active as a mod on the site every single day of the week and at times spending most evenings dealing with dramas that occured because of the damn transfers forum.
I posted in the mod forum that I was taking a few weeks off and it was ok with you at that stage and you even posted your best wishes for the situation I was in (lol now at the sincerity behind them)

The fact that I'm no longer a mod doesnt bother me one bit as tbh, there were far too many mods anyway considering the traffic and content here. What pisses me off most is the fact that you took my personal situation and are now attempting to twist it into saying that I did nothing on the site.

Anyone who wished to care knew that I wasnt on the site in the last while but to try to twist that and post here saying that it was down to me not carrying out my "mod duties" is a fucking low act and is pure bullshit.

There really is no drama here. I simply questioned some of the recent changes, and policies. I just don't appreciate when someone doesn't have the moxie to tell you your 'fired', and you find out this way. And then goes on and writes this:

I will not get into the politics of the reasons here, as that was certainly part of the reason.....Please do not turn this into a drama thread regarding the demodding of Steve and Dee.
When there was no need, like I said just say I demodded Steve because he doesn't do any moderation!
