Post vBulletin Forum Software Upgraded to v3.8.1

Excited for High Stakes Poker season 5, I was motivated to unleash a horde of improvements to PFO, the first being upgrading our forum's software from v3.7.0 to v3.8.1.

While there are a number of new features, the upgrade really focuses on fixing minor bug fixes.

That being said, here are some of my personal favourite improvements:
  • Read receipts are automatically accepted when a PM is replied to.
  • A new Quick Reply can be used to reply to PM's.
  • PM's can be ordered by Title, Date and Sender.
  • Private Messages can be filtered by Sender, Title, a given date period, and whether the message has been read or not.
  • Privage Message selections are remembered over multiple pages for bulk actions (Move, delete, mark as read etc).
  • Private Messages can now be reported (get those PM spammers banned!)
  • A new Terms and Conditions link is configurable and displayed in the footer by default.
  • Username availability now checked via AJAX during registration.
A full list of the new features and improvements can be found at 3.8 on vbulletin.com - vBulletin Community Forum, but the above are really the only notable ones.

Yup. Vancouver Island. As I replied in your other "Moving to Canada" post, we should have a PFO meetup at the River Rock. They have an awesome (massive) poker room there and Pinguaq lives just 90 minutes away from me.

That is a very nice poker room, compared to the few others I've seen at least. It's the first place I ever played live when I was in Vancouver just a little under a year ago.
