Ok honestly this is getting alittle annoying.

Even if a post is not considered "spam" people are posting in every single damn thread, ones that they usually wouldnt respond to, and are just writting stupid things that make it appear they are really responding to the thread, but really have no interest other to get another post count.

the best way to do it is maybe to take the top 10 post counts, and then let members vote for who they feel the best poster was from that group.

This would punish the "spammy" type posters and reward the quality stuff. No offense Kid, but you don't read many of the threads and will have a hard time realizing who is quality and who is not.

I may end up going that route, but as for not reading many of the threads, what I do is (this is not the first forum posting contest I've held) at the end of the contest look through all the posts of all the qualified members one by one and see if any of them aren't eligible due to low quality posts or 'spam'.
