Good review, sounds like an interesting angle on this game we play.

Just as a sidenote, it seems there's no way to get to the reviews (book and site) from the forums, or any way back to the home page from the forums page. I have the homepage bookmarked but invariably come straight into the forums. As a result I miss most of the other stuff linked from the homepage. Anyway additional links could be added at the top of the Forums homepage (or a single link back to www.pokerforums.org)?

This is an excellent site, well maintained and with a great community, please don't take the above as criticism, it's a tiny thing.

    Hi Rex,

Actually I personally use the link at the bottom right hand corner of every page to go to the front page (PokerForums).

I will keep your suggestion in mind though

    Thanks Kid,

I hadn't noticed the bottom right link

Bit like I miss double-gut-shot draws.

I thought the first chapter or 2 was spectacular, the rest was totally useless and redundant. the same thing over and over and over.

Steve, that's almost exactly my take on it and what I tried to portray in my little review. I also found it somewhat annoying how he stated many times in the beginning that he wouldn't try to talk about strategy, but does so pretty much in the last 80% of the book.. I know this wasn't his intention, but it became quite redundant...

But the first 40 or so pages are really really good, and although I like to say that I already had most of those things realized, the one thing I didn't until I read his book was: accepting responsibility - and this changed my tournament game around completely.. immediately after I read that section, I had those great tournament results, and this may sound ignorant to say, but I seriously have a different attitude towards poker regarding beats.. I very rarely get the slightest upset anymore.. they will hit their 6-outer, and I'll say 'nh' and leave and I won't be bottling up anything inside.. at most I'll sigh...
