    Default The Mobber Awards

It's time For the PokerForums.org Mobber Awards. I am now accepting nominations (I, and perhaps the other mods, will select 5 from each catergory to be voted on by you folks) for these prestigious awards. You PFO vets, think back, way back, to get some good nominations. I am also taking ideas for other catergories. When nominating, please say which catergory, provide the link (kinda required), and a reason for your nomination.

    Catergories include:

    • Best Overall Thread
    • Best Single Post
    • Most Worthless Thread >3 pages
    • Best New/Original Idea Post/Thread
    • Most Hijacked Thread
    • Best Intelligent Discussion/Debate/Arguement That Stayed Civil
    • Best Poster (ie Highest Quality to Quantity ratio)
    • Best Glory post involving a PFO member
    • 'Worst' River Rat Post involving a PFO Member
    • Best 'GoTo' poster for a certain specialty
    • Most Respected as a Player (Not Poster)
    • Most Mind-Boggling Single Statement
    • Most Improved Player
    • Funniest Post/Thread
    • Most Helpful Poster
    • Best Inebriated Poster
I'll be taking Nominations for a week or so, so think hard and get them in. Maybe, perhaps, I could convivnce Kid to give away some PFO gear to the winners of some of the Individual awards.

Please add 'funniest post' or funniest quote. I nominate the old days of pp100: http://www.pokerforums.org/showthrea...7&page=1&pp=10

Also edit it to announce I'll award a PFO t-shirt of their choosing to the winner of the Best Poster (ie Highest Quality to Quantity ratio) category.

Also put most helpful poster category.

Also, if you could maybe do it more in the format of this: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/show...tepoint+awards

and name it like PFO 2006 Awards or something.. only crappy thing is that we're doing it at a weird time of the year :P

as far as Mind Boggler, I have to nominate this one from steve-o

"If you have QQ a big stack ($250) can call with ATs as a 2 to 1 dog because if you double up to $80 he still has you more than covered. He could lose twice and you still have almost even stacks, and he figures to win 1 out of 3 of these scenarios. It is even worse if he is only a 3 to 2 dog or better, such as AK vs JJ or such."

    From this thread http://www.pokerforums.org/showthrea...hlight=dumbest

As for Goto, I will have to give Steve-O props there - for all things not holdem (not that I don't think he can play holdem, but there is pleny of holdem advice here). A nod also goes to Phyto.
