Anyone else play this game? I was wondering if anyone had any outstanding strategies for playing as the Axis powers. I typically like to go for the westward push with Japan trying to take Moscow, and Germany heading for London. However, it is always hard to overcome the American economy. Holding both capitals for one rotation is near impossible, and going for the economic "Magic 84," has never worked for me.

I'm a Risk fan and I've always wanted to play A&A but I never had any friends that were interested in it.
Does this game exist online anywhere for free to play? What about Risk?"Ok, this is for the game. How you doin' over there? NOT TOO GOOD!"" -Bubble Boy

I've only played A&A and Risk live with friends. However, there are similar versions of Risk online. Try this:

A little bit different rules, but pretty much the same game.

I had this nice post written out, but ended up backspacing out of the text box and losing it. . .but the gist was:
A&A is great!
I"m not good enough to give tips
Huge online community of people hooked, google axis and allies strategy or axis and allies forums, something like that. there are some forums and sites that have detailed strategy and even specific moves laid out for each nation.
You have the new edition yet?

Would love to, but starting medical residency tomorrow is going to severely limit my free time, especially for a long game like A&A.

I am great at that game!!!!
the biggest thing is to use your planes and boats to destroy the british navy since their economy is not good enough to replace it if you can keep 4-5 planes in germany.
Japans biggest thing is to wipe out the hawaiin fllet (obviously) and buy transports. on the second turn invade Alaska, you can even do it on the first turn.
also keep the pressure on the US's chinese territories and the british territories, I like to attack 1 per round. let Germany take out russia just use Japan as a scare tactic by keeping enough offense on manchuria to keep the russians attention.
i haven't played in quite some time so thats all i remember, I might throw the CD in now and play though! so I'll remember more pretty soonRead my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

I haven't played the new computer game, I wasn't thrilled with the whole real-time strategy aspect. Seems like calling it A&A would be a bit of a stretch with RTS.

Yea, that's the problem with the "RTS" version. It's not like the board game is. I think if we were ever going to play online, Risk would be the way to go.
