Sad to see him go but its hard to see what else they could do with him. Mitrione would have been the lowest ranked HW. I always thought that, despite looking like a monster, Kimbo was too small to be in there at heavyweight. On the other hand, said he wouldn't be able to cut to 205 so I guess he was in no mans land. Looking forward to seeing where Meathead goes from here, though.

yeah.. i will have to disagree with dana white tho on his view that the fight was 'so one sided'. I wont say kimbo 'dominated' any part of the fight but mitrione surely wasnt dominating kimbo until he collapsed the last 2 minutes of the fight and went into defense mode. Kimbos biggest downfall is stamina.. he has some heavy hands and deadly swings to em but they only last for so long. Hed be good for taking someone out within the first 3 minutes.. after that hes a zombie.. but i do disagree with dana whites standpoint on it all. I think he dislikes kimbo for personal reasons and the fact he comes off as a 'ghetto street brawler' .. not UFC material. Oh well tho. Kimbo made more money than he ever would have doing whatever it was he used to do. xD

Credit to Meathead, he never really flinched as Kimbo came at him. He confidently picked him apart. His ground and pound was terrible though. Reminded me of Kimbos fight on TUF where Roy Nelson was tapping him on the head but the ref had to stop it because Kimbo didn't know how to get up from it. He was fun and entertaining and there will be other promotions climbing over each other to get his signature.

Lol. He was a decent fighter at best and didn't belong in the UFC. He was a nice guy though.

I wouldve liked to see Kimbo succeed but after he got beat by Seth Petruzelli then lost on the Ultimate fighter I lost faith EliteXC put way to much hype and money on him .Just cause you're a street brawler doesnt mean you have what it takes to compete in the UFC.
