    Anyone laying any money down on this?

    I know zilch about horse racing, so via my normal method of picking a theme (poker, this year) and then rooting on horses that can somehow be shoehorned into that theme, join me in cheering for...

    Coin Silver (20-to-1) and High Limit (12-to-1)

    If you've taken a bad beat recently, consider recouping your losses by following the advice of

    Don't Get Mad (30-to-1)

    And, of course, if you're a PFO buff, you've got to wager a $2 ticket on our very own

    Afleet Alex (pre-race favorite at 9-to-2 odds!)

    These big stakes races are very hard to handicap, since horses and jockies come from all over the world to race.

    I don't think I have ever bet on one.

    Where do they get like 2-3 hours of coverage on a 90 second race?

    Advertising, oh yeah.

    When I go to Vegas, my best friend, who lives out there, and I like getting drunk in the sportsbook making $2 bets on every race. It's fun to yell at the screens. That's about as far as I'll go with the horses, dogs, or chariots.
