Was it the right move and does it have to cost that much?

Hell Yes and yes. Did you see what he did for the brewers down the stretch last year? Now imagine what he could do for a full season with a lineup like the yankees, if they get one more good bat. I just wish my Indians hadnt traded him but he was gonna leave anyway so oh well

Yes it was the right move (gets him out of the NL Central so better for the Cubs!!!), no it was not the right price. That's overpaid for and too many years for a pitcher.

Yep. Really feel like that professional athletes nowadays are too much overpaid. 160 mil for just 6 years?crazy. he's gon bag-in a wopping 27 mil annually. For a player that plays less physical contact and just happened to have a gifted arm. that's really too much to give for a player.
I do remember former NFL QB-Michael Vick signing 130 mil. and thats for a 10 year span. Whom both have canon arm and gifted on rushing the ball in a QB position.now that's sick!
For me if Vick still has 130 mil. They should swap contract, just because of the the things they are paid to do on their respective teams. don't you think? Well that's just one crazy opinion for me,i guess..

It was an awesome move because i have always felt that a pitcher is the teams most valuable asset, especially a pitcher that can get the big strikout and keep the defense from making an error by himself or the pitcher thats so dominating that he can single handedly beat another team himself.
