Anyone watching this. It's like a train wreck. I wanna change the channel, but I have to watch it. I can't change the channel.
But anyway, they're counting down the Top 5 Reasons why you can't blame Steve Bartmann for the 2003 Cubs collapse. I don't know if this is a rerun, but I haven't seen it.
#1 Reason had better be Alex Gonzalez's butterfingers or Mark Prior being a crybaby. That team broke my heart.

I feel your pain man...really I do.
In order that list better go 5. Lack of a reliable bullpen, 4. Failure to show up for Game 7, 3. Dusty Baker pitching the big 3 'til their arms fell off, 2. Prior's post-Bartman meltdown, and 1. Alex "Buckner" Gonzales
*pouring myself a shot of Cuervo to make the pain go away*

Alex no offense, but until you have lived through Bill Buckner you have not felt pain. I was 10 years old and could tell you the everything that happened and went on in my head at the time.
Add to that Shiraldi sweating bulletts before getting to the mound/ no stapleton as a defensive replacement/ leaving pedro in in game 7/ Aaron "fucking" Boone/ and so many others I would like to add but am getting too angry
and if you are 20 years older than me add in Bucky "fucking" dent.
All i can say is persevere my friend, I'm on top of the world this year
the Sox, the Pats, and possibly the C's, good time to be from Beantown. the standells song dirty water is going through my head right now! "I love that dirty water, oh oh Boston you're my home" "frustrated women, got to be in by 12 o'clock..."

You guys think you got it bad? Try living in Cleveland.
My first memory of pro sports that I can place is "The Drive".Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

Cleveland has sports teams? I mean, there was a baseball team for a couple of years and a touring act called "The LeBron Experience." Oh yeah, you guys won the Super Bowl a couple of years ago... Oh wait, the team was in Baltimore by that time. Ouch.
*runs to hide from Marm*
Steve,
Your #5 is the reasoning behind your #3. Kerry Wood's had arm problems since he was in the minors. It's why he was a year late coming in and Zambrano's a workhorse. Prior's got the stamina to throw 3400 pitches, too. He sulks and meltsdown way too much. He has showed great poise this year so far, though. Wait until he loses his first 2-1 game this year and I'll believe the hype if he can keep pitching well.
Bullpen wasn't a big problem that year, actually. It wasn't great, but it was good. Now, it's anemic. Everyone here in Chi-Town keeps saying, "Wait 'til Borowski gets back." Pffft. He can't break 86 on the gun. His arm has officially fallen off.

Yeah, both ESPN and SI did seperate sstories/polls that listed the top ten Tortured sports cities overall, Cleveland was #1 in both of them....
Can't wait for our first championship, in ANY sport, in 40 years, this place is going ot go nuts....Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
