Fantastic game. I thought both teams really played their best. When germany scored to take the lead at 2-1 I thought it was all over. Then the awesome tap into the goal for Turkey, 2-2. THEN! In the 90th minute!!! GOAL!! Germany takes it down in the 90th minute. I was on the edge of my seat the whole match.
Very well played tournament, Turkey.
I really never thought they would get this far.
My bodog account is looking good since I bet on Germany to win every game.

I agree. During this game, through the strange game bets I made through various places, I had money on Turkey to win this game, but if not, my bet moves to germany and i win only if they win the final.
Germany did play like shit. They got lucky in the end with an almost free goal. Turkey played their hearts out through the whole tournament and I was amazed how far they got.

Russia is taking it all imo.... their players are at the top of their game right now, and they're gonna want revenge from their 4-1 ass-kicking in the opening match... and my last prediction is that Arshavin is scoring a goal in both the semi and the final... that kid's been on fire the last two games...

Arshavin ain't exactly a kid, he's 27.
I hope Russia win it cos my gf has a bet on them (obv the tip came from me
) and there's £100 up for grabs when they pwn. Spain were my original pick for the tourney though (no money on it unfortunately) and I think they probably will take it, just a bit too strong for Russia methinks.

"Football is a game played by 22 players and in the end Germany wins" - Gary Lineker
There's a lot of luck involved just as in poker so I believe Germany has been running hot in international tournaments for quite some time. England and Netherlands seem to be experiencing more negative variance.Last edited by OrionPro; June 26th, 2008 at 03:40 AM.

England and Netherlands appear to be experiencing something called a lack of bollocks when it counts.
If my son shows any serious talent at football I would move to Germany before he has a chance to learn to be a plucky loser and a good old boy in England and instead can be taught to be a footballing machine.

As much of a footballing machine Germany are, if they were up against a half decent team yesterday it would've been 4 or 5-0.
