This morning I logged on to PFO and noticed the most recent post in this thread was from davidab. I then realised England must have got spanked by South Africa last night so didn't need to waste any time opening up BBC Sport webpage. Thank You David!

I would bet that England go out in the quarter finals, seems a pretty solid bet.

England were marginal favourites last year because we hyped ourself up (rightly so in this case) but the All Blacks were playing better in the run up and were awesome in the finals until the Aussies. England
1999 they again were upset by an amazing french performance int eh semis
1995 they were poisoned by the Springbox

I think a solid bet would be England to go out at the pool stages, I don't see them beating Samoa at the moment. Not sure what the odds on it are, but I reckon you'd get a decent price.
Wales game was pretty depressing today, but the Aussies are looking damn good. If it wasn't for the worst goal kicker in history (Stephen Jones) we might have been in it in the last 10 minutes, Hook should've been on from the start imo.
Ireland look awful, Dee I hope you have plenty of Guinness handy while you watch it!

Around 3-1 seems to be the going rate. I was going to offer to put my money up against you but it doesn't seem good value.

Dee,
As I have money on France to win this god-damn cup, I have to support them unfortunately.
However I do hope Ireland get a bonus point in defeat and then beat Argentina to go through in second, thus accumulating my accumulator with France topping the group so I can donk the £50 winnings in record time.
Thanks
