Haha, get owned.
Ben Wallace was supposed to have dinner with his old teammates before the game but they stood him up "No more fun and games" according to a certain Pistons player.

Ummm.....
Chandler: 9.5ppg, 12.4reb - age: 24
Wallace: 9.2ppg, 9.4reb - age: 32
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Even if the "tweener" argument is true, and I am not conceeding that, he played damn well this season. He is not a bust. A late bloomer, perhaps, but I would take him over Wallace. Wallace's best years are behind him and his worst years will be in a Bulls uniform, getting $14mil a year.Photoshop-Pack - Photoshop Tutorials

Numbers are 10% of the story with Chandler. Watch him play. He's clueless and immobile. He boxes out well, but can't defend back to the basket. He sets good screens, but can't roll. That's what makes the screen n' roll effective- the threat of the big man setting the screen getting to the basket to create a scoring oppurtunity.
The immobility creates positioning problems and puts no pressure on the opponents on either side of the court. On the offensive end, teams can effectively zone out on his squad and on the other end, you can sacrifice some offensive rebounds to aid your transition D. Wallace's best years are behind him, but this Bulls team is better with Wallace than they'd be with Chandler. At least Wallace adds the ability to defend on the ball and he can catch the ball inside when the perimeter jump shooters draw the double. Chandler's hands are cement blocks.

Defensively they are 2 different players. Wallace is the ultimate hustler/give up his body for the team type player. Chandler is a like most; a bunch of wasted talent.

yeah, you guys are right, i would pay $60mil for hustle, too.
ben as a chicago bull is a huge bust.
they did well by not giving up deng and others for gasol at the deadline, though. i will give them that. and hey, luol could go off and gordon could have a big game and the bulls may give detroit a run for their money. in the next couple of years, i see chicago in the finals.Photoshop-Pack - Photoshop Tutorials

I never said that Ben Wallace is the same Wallace that won in Detroit. Just that the Bulls are better now than they were before. Look at how much Chandler's making. When that cap room was freed up, Wallace's agent had a ton of bargaining power because the Bulls couldn't make an excuse to pay less when they had a full roster and one need that they were shopping for relative to the market.
Salaries aren't a way to gauge expection. Risk:reward of dollars are calculated in dollars. Just because he makes a lot doesn't mean that he was too far short of what they paid for. That's a much different locker room than it was a year ago.
I think Gordon'll have to be sacrificed for a championship. A 6'2" SG who can't move the ball at low risk or guard anyone is too dangerous.
Also, the Bulls lost nothing with Chandler and gained Wallace when you figure in the Tyrus Thomas pick.
