Quite an upgrade with, Moss, Stallworth, and Welker. Not to mention having Kelly Washington, Reche Caldwell, Jabaar Gaffney and Troy Brown on the depth chart.
Go from the worst receiving corp to possibly the best, and get 2 #1s next year as well. pretty good offseason and they have Adalius Thomas on board.
Their offense is going to be frightening. Brady throwing to Moss, Stallworth, and Ben Watson with Maroney running the ball, look out.

Best receiving corps?
Moss isn't a lock to rejuvinate his career.
Stallworth has never had a full healthy season.
The jury's still out on Welker, IMO, they mainly brought him in for returning.
Washington, Caldwell, and Gaffney are freakin' bums.
Better corps. than St. Louis? Nope.
Arizona? Nope.
Indianaplois? NO WAY.
Detroit? No no no.
Far from the best.BOSS

pwned? i think yes.
yeah, they will be good, but saying the offense will be frightening is kinda overboard.
that being said, i shit my pants when i heard the news this morning. they will be tough.

welker caught 63 balls last year FROM JOEY HARRINGTON!!!!!!!
Way better than detroit or st. louis. Remember there are more than 2 receivers on a team. Caldwell as a #3 or 4 is incredible.
Indy has the best Duo, arizona has 2 POTENTIALLY greta receivers. Head to toe NE is definetly in the top 2 or 3.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

I'm sorry Steve-O but this is laughable.
St. Louis: T. Holt, I. Bruce, D. Bennett
Detroit: R. Williams, C. Johnson, Furrey (don't throw white WRs at me...FURREY IS A CONVERTED SAFETY)
Arizona: Bolden, Fitz, Johnson (he could be a #2 anywhere else)
Indy: Harrison, Wayne, Gonzalez (throw in when Stokely was there)
CINCY: C. Johnson, Whoseyourmama
, C. Henry
DALLAS: T. Owens, T. Glenn, P. Crayton
Look it's one thing to be a homer, but be realistic. New England's #3 WR is not going to be anything special AT ALL. Whereas all these other teams' #3's, could be #2's anywhere else. So while NE has a lot of depth, it doesn't mean jack.
Having a pile of shit...is still shit.BOSS

These are career numbers now, Steve-O.
Caldwell: 63 games, 137 rec, 1710 yards, 11 TD
Gaffney: 75 games, 182 rec, 2151 yards, 8 TD
Washington: 44 games, 72 rec, 893 yards, 9 TD
And all three have played over 4 seasons. Yeah, GREAT depth behind Stallworth and Moss.
I like Welker, but he won't even be the #3 WR in NE. He's 5'9" 185 lbs. They brought him in to return.BOSS

Now considering, receiving corps go over 2 receivers...I'm going to take the #3 WRs on each team I listed and record their stats.
Furrey (DET): 37 games, 119 rec, 1283 yards, 6 TD (converted safety. Only receiver out of him and the NE guys to catch more than 65 passes in a season. Only one to collect 5 or more TDs in one season. And only one to collect over 750 yards in a season.)
Johnson (ARZ): 61 games, 164 rec, 2147 yards, 7 TD (could be a #2 anywhere, no question)
Bennett (STL): 87 games, 273 rec, 4033 yards, 25 TD (former #1)
Stokley (IND): 74 games, 199 rec, 2829 yards, 22 TD (Bronco now but we only have the past to go off of)
Gonzalez (IND): Give me the rookie out of Ohio State over ANY of those NE guys)
Henry (CIN): 27 games, 67 rec, 1027 yards, 15 TD (only suspended for 8 games, this kid is a BEAST. He has more TDs in 2 years, then any of your guys have in a career)
Crayton (DAL): 35 games, 70 rec, 1019 yards, 7 TD (future Dal #1)BOSS

Welker had a great year last year and I was pretty pissed when we lost him to the Pats of all people.

The Pats have had the best off-season I've ever seen as of late April.
Besides Indy, AZ, Dallas, and maybe STL, the Pats have the best set of WR's in the league. Couple in that journeyman QB of theirs and they'll without a doubt win more games and go deeper into the playoffs than all but the Colts and if the playoff game's in Foxboro, shit NE the Lombardi pronto.
Detroit can be in the conversation, but their passing game's a step below AZ who'll be lucky to win 8 games and that's all that matters. When no one can get those guys the ball, your receiving group is less than the rag dolls Marino had.
In closing, QB's can make receivers. WR's can't make QB's. The Pats have 3 guys who'd be #1's on a vast majority of the league AND.. AND Tom Fuckin' Brady.
gg AFC.
