With all of the football broo-haha, the best game of them all has a guy in Ryan Howard with 57HR with 13 games to go in the season. If he hits 61, where would this rank in single season HR accomplishments?

looks like he won't reach 60 this year. I'm fairly certain he will break 60 in the next few years. there are two boats; 1 ppl will say this is the only credible slugger to reach 60+ in the modern era b/c rest of the guys were juiced. other boat will be like; mcguire and bonds are 1,2 and howrd marris is 3/4
I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

Actually, Sosa is 3 and 4 with 66 and 63.
But, I'm of the school that doesn't go apeshit over the steroid issue and recognize Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa as 3 of the greatest sluggers ever because they faced a wider array of breaking balls in era where pitchers were juiced up to not feel pain and even the worst of the worst are throwing 92MPH+ fastballs and sliders with heavy movement.
That said, Ryan Howard's a fuckin' beast. Even breaking into the league last year with 22HR in a couple of months was sick. We're gonna see him hit 50 a lot and I agree that we could see a year with 65 if he greats some protection in the lineup.
Will he reach Godlike status of Pujols, I don't know. But this was an amazing year when you consider that lineup.
