Default Week 1 NFL Line - ALL GAMES

I'll simply do spreads. Take it for what it's worth but I have a DECENT track record of sports betting. Of course, there is a chance I get all wrong, haha.

    (Lines according to Sportsbook.com)

St. Louis (+4) vs Denver -- Bulger at home on the turf, healthy, with solid targets in Holt, Bruce, Curtis. Expect Holt to catch 8 or 9, 100 yards, and a TD. Game will become a shootout in the 4th but both running games will have solid efforts.

New York J (+2.5) @ Tennessee -- Both offenses are non-existant and Tennessee rocks the better defense. This time will be an ugly, smashmouth battle with the winner probably only getting the victory by a FG.

Buffalo (+10) @ New England -- The Patriots will stack the box and the Losman has yet to prove himself as a starting QB. Evans could have a solid line because of a weak secondary but he's the only target. New England will have a field day but due to excellent ball control, they'll fail to reach 30 points or any other high scoring total.

Baltimore (+3) @ Tampa Bay -- Questions all around on the Baltimore offense while Tampa remains in sync. McNair needs to prove he still has it, Tampa has a stout run D (6th in 2005) and Lewis being hurt, expect lots of pressure and some turnovers. While Baltimore still has a solid D, Cadillac will run and Galloway will light up the secondary.

Cincinnati (+1.5) @ Kansas City -- 30 points on both sides but Palmer is not only the better QB, he has much better weapons. Huge games for the Johnson boys, Palmer, and if Housh plays, big game for him too. LJ will be able to run well but KC has no deep-ball threat.

Detroit (+6.5) vs Seattle -- Reigning NFC Champions against one of the laughing stocks of the NFL. 'Nuff said.

Atlanta (+5) @ Carolina -- Foster has an amazing 7.9 ypc against the Atlanta defense and Delhomme always seems to find gaping holes in their vastly overrated secondary. If anyone can shut down Vick/Dunn, it's Carolina. Crumpler is probably going to miss the game and Vick's favorite WR (Finneran) is done for the year.

Houston (+5.5) vs Philadelphia -- Philly's looking to make up for a 6-10 year and they have a lot to prove. The Houston defense is horrid and McNabb has one of the strongest arms in the league. Carr likes to get sacked and with the addition of Howard, Bunkley, and Barber, expect Philadelphia to get a lot of them.

New Orleans (+3) @ Cleveland -- The Cleveland defense is slowly getting better but if Brees can make it click, the Saints could do some damage. Brees has solid targets in Horn, McAllister, and Bush. Frye isn't as solid of a QB as Brees but Droughns will run rampant all over the atrocious NO defense. Edwards and Winslow have chances for huge games but Frye needs to be able to get them the ball. UPSET ALERT!!!

Dallas (+1.5) @ Jacksonville -- Both teams have very quick, athletic defenses and this game could easily go either way. This will be smashmouth but Jacksonville doesn't have nearly the offensive weapons that Dallas does. Bledsoe to Owens. Bledsoe to Witten. Bledsoe to Glenn. Not to underestimate the Jags D, but they could easily be overwhelmed here.

Green Bay (+3.5) vs Chicago -- Apparently Green Bay has a real shot in this game due to the lack of any form of Chicago offense. WRONG. The Green Bay line is a line of pushovers and what does Bears LBs being in Favre's face every play mean? He's going to close his eyes and chuck it up. Thomas Jones was a top 10 running back last year and Green Bay's not going to be able to hold him.

San Francisco (+7.5) @ Arizona -- No better way for James to get accustomed to being a Cardinal than by playing THE laughing stock of the NFL. Boldin and Fitzgerald have huge days. No contest.

New York G (+3.5) vs Indianapolis -- Manning vs Manning. Burress, who doesn't show up every game vs a solid Colts secondary. Harrison and Wayne vs a porous, susceptible secondary. Easy conclusion.

Minnesota (+4) @ Washington -- No Portis means Washington will have to beat the Vikings through the air. Brunell is washed up and with Moss double-teamed, neither Lloyd or Randle El really possess the skills to go against a much improved Minnesota secondary. Chester Taylor will have a solid game and Washington looks to be at the bottom of the NFC East, anyway. UPSET ALERT!!!

Oakland (+3) vs San Diego -- Tomlinson vs an underachieving defense. Gates vs a very lackluster LB corp. Brooks vs a solid, young defense coming out of San Diego. Yet another easy conclusion.
