Every year, I do a pool at work and I'm doing one with my office this year as well. We'll keep it cheap and friendly. Here are the details:

Lines:
At the beginning of every week, a new Sticky will replace the one from the week before with Game Lines as of the Wednesday before Games start. Weeks with Thursday games will have the Thursday games posted on Tuesday.

All lines will have Gametime, favorite in caps, spread, and OU in parenthesis.
i.e.
Chicago is playing Detoit in Chicago on Sunday at Noon EST. Chicago is favored by 8.5 points and the OU is 28.5. Cincinnati is favored over Tennesee in Pittsburgh on Sunday at 4:00PM EST. Cinci is favored by 2.5 and the OU is 37. Even lines are marked with an "E" and neither team is in CAPS.

These will be listed:
Sun. 12:00PM EST Detroit @ CHICAGO -7 (28.5)
Sun. 4:00 PM EST CINCINNATI -2.5 @ Pittsburgh (37)

All lines will be according to BetonSports.com.

Selections:
Everyone will select their winners for EVERY GAME against the spread and over/unders for every game. Selections will be made public on the board. Any changes must be presented and confirmed before Sunday 6AM. Thursday and Saturday games must be confirmed within 12 hours of kickoff.

Selections will be made as such:
Copy/paste lines and make your game selection in blue with the OU in "red" for Under and "purple" for Over. Include a + or - for clarity.

i.e.
I take Chicago and the Over would be presented:
Sun. 12:00PM EST Detroit @ CHICAGO -7 (+28.5)

These will all be printed out by me, so minimal extra comments and unrelated posts are very helpful.

INCLUDE ALL LINES FOR A WEEK IN ONE POST!!!. IF A CHANGE NEEDS TO BE MADE, PM ME AND AFTER CONFIRMATION, QUOTE YOUR PREVIOUS SELECTIONS IN FULL AND REPOST ONLY YOUR NEW SELECTION UNDERNEATH. 24 hours before gametime, I will repost your selections for you and include your PM request for verification.

Costs and payouts:
1.) The pool will be $5+$0.50/week per person. $0.50 per person goes to me for hadling the pool. $5 from each entrant is entered into the pool.

2.) I'm thinking that since we're all poker players, we can exchange money through poker sites to me and paid out accordingly. PokerStars is the easiest way to conduct our transactions because they have no minimum transfer.

3.) Players will be paid as such.

1-4 entrants:
1st- 100%

5-14 entrants:
1st- 60%
2nd- 30%
3rd- 10%

15-25 entrants:
1st- 55%
2nd- 25%
3rd- 15%
4th- 5%

26-40
1st- 50%
2nd- 20%
3rd- 12.5%
4th- 10.5%
5th- 5%
6th-2%

Scoring:

10 points- Every win vs. spread
-1 point- Every point you lose against the spread.
.5 point- Every point difference on your side of the over/under
-.5 point- Every point you're beat on the over/under

i.e.
Detroit @ CHICAGO -8 OU-28.5
You select Detroit +8 and the Over
Final Score: CHI 31 DET 17
31-8-17= 6 Lose 6 points on game result
31+17-28.5=31+17= 19.5

(-6) + (19.5*.5)= 3.75 points for this game.

Points are added up and results are posted and winners are posted on Tuesday and payouts are made that day.

League

This is where it really gets fun. I like the full season pool that coincides with this. Along with the week-by-week pool, for an extra $20+$5, there will be a full season league where points are cumulative for the whole season. The payout structure will be similar to the week-by-week. There will be a seperate thread for League Standings. To enter the league, you must be paid in full before Wednesday of Week 2.

If you elect to play the League, you are not obliged to be involved in the Week-by-Week. You are just ineligible for Week-by-Week competition. Failing to participate in a week of play leaves you as dead money

Minimums to Qualify:

Week-by-Week:
You must place a minimum of 15 bets (including a minimum of 10 game bets) on each weekly ticket to enter the pool,

Full Season:
You must place a minimum 350 total selections- 160 game selections and 100 OU selections. This is an average of over 9 games and over 5 over/unders per week.

Week 17 is a ridiculous week. This allows for minimal Week 17 play or a bye week if you wish. There is no maximum. You can play every game and every OU.

Sign-up:
Sign up via PM. Your name will be on a list in the official thread. Your signup is official for the league when you've paid in full and are due before Wednesday of Week 2. Week-by-Week, you must re-register with me.

Other Inquiries:
If there are other general questions, feel free to ask. Moving money from Site-to-Site should be done independently. Only public money transfers will be the publishing of prize pools/payouts when all selections are confirmed and who gets paid what. These will be done via PokerStars unless someone has a better suggestion. If you're inquiring about the fee, this is a good amount of work and I'll be playing. My selections will be as public and unedited as yours as I'll be playing along, too.

This would be the 3rd pool that I'm running for this season, so I will get results and point totals posted by Tuesday evenings at the latest and payouts will be transferred at midnight pending any challenges. Everyone will have the choice at payout to only receive their profit and automatically enter the next week's pool, but unless notified, I'll be under the assumption that you are not entering the next week.

My IM and email address are public in the event that my inbox is full because of a short-term onslaught, but I will be printing out, reposting modification requests, and deleting all PM's as much as possible. I am willing to set up a new GMail account solely for use of this pool. That sounds like a better idea.

Any other way to get you the money?

Pretty sure UB has a higher min. transfer. We could always go through my girlfriend's FTP account because I'm not allowed transfers on FTP to ensure that I'm the only one playing on my account.

We need to get some other degen's in here, too, to make this a real pool. I know you guys are out there.

I can do PayPal or FTP for transfers. You know I'm down.

I'd like to get 5 people to start. I know that after that, it can blow up. Otherwise, we're just placing bets with each other and I'm down for that, too.
