PartyGammon!
I play a $2 game with $6 max against all the greenies (losing players) and they just keep accepting double after double, it's amazing. Thank you for showing everyones ranking partygammon it makes it so easy to kill them. Imagine partypoker labeling each player for you! And since it is not a backgammon site but linked from partypoker there are very few good players.
On play65 even the greenies were competent
My only problem is my ranking is getting too high and some, SOME of the fishies won't play me![]()

Your rake goes up to 5% once you get more than a certain amount of points.

It could be 20% and I'd play there! I have people ranked 1300s playing me (I'm just over 1700) for what amounts to $4-$12 every 20 minutes on 1 board. I just played one idiot for $5 a game in 40 minutes I beat him 8 out of 10. He accepted a double in a total race, down 44!!!!! I won 6 games doubled ($60), 2 regular ($10) and lost 2 regular ($10), so I beat this guy for $60 minus vig.
Now to be ranked in the 1300s means you basically lose 7 out of 10 matches you play.
I'm thinking of playing $4 matches and then donking it at $.50 matches to kill my rankingRead my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

How long do you think it would take to pick up Backgammon Steve-o?
I've never played even a single game in my life. Relative to Texas Hold 'em, should I pick it up much quicker/slower/the same?

You can get up to a standard to beat donks in a matter of 2-3 hours.
You can progress very quickly to a reasonable level in backgammon.
The key is really:
Is this game a race?
If I am ahead - double and race.
If I am behind, stop racing and create hit opportunities.A good education is expensive but ignorance costs more.

The doubling cube gives you a bigger edge over donks, in fact when you get two evenly matched players doubling cube equity skills =win.

True, opening rolls and the first three rollouts learnt will let you win over 80% of the people out there.
After that fine tweak your game vs Snowie and learn how to use the cube, once thats done you're probably at 80-90% high level.A good education is expensive but ignorance costs more.
