The only cup that counts.
WOW. Just watched Game 5. WOW.
Shorthanded breakaway OT goal.
WOW.
Best game I've seen in years.

Nothing tops Dallas/Buffalo and "Creasegate" or Buffalo/Jersey 3OT, but yeah it was a phoenominal game. The first period was sloppy, but sloppy hockey produces 4 goals in the first period.
But definitely the best playoffs in sports. NCAA, my ass. I love basketball, but it's bad basketball, great theatre. No sport's any match to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

I'm really not caring who wins, but I am cheering for Edmonton, gotta love the underdog, but I really wanted to see them skate the cup tonight. But I stood up and was yelling as he took that puck in alone.....

I gotta root for Carolina. I was a left defenseman growing up, so Cheli was my favorite player. After him, Roenick and Lemieux was Lindros, so I loved the Flyers and grew up on a healthy dose of Rod Brind'Amour. They came so close so many years, but the Devils and Dominik Hasek kept getting in their way.
All those old Flyers guys Desjardins, LeClair, Renberg. Love 'em all. And speaking of which, Mark Recchi's on the Canes as well and Eric Staal is amazing to watch.
In Ohio, don't know how much of a hockey fan you are, but besides baseball, it's my fav.

I used to like Edmonton. Then they knocked the Sharks out and put some really cheap hits on guys (Michalek and Cheechoo) and that was that. I hope that they not only lose the series but that Carolina's players eat their children and send them into Bolivian.

Okay, and you can just say that next time and save the lesson.

So I graduate HS from a suburb here in cleveland... go off to college an hour north of Lake placid in NY. I had no clue what hockey was... Knew there was ice and guys hitting each other and falling down.... but that happens every winter here in East Cleveland (and aside from the ice, summer too). But my frat Big had season tickets right beneath the red light. NCAA div I.
