I set up a FPO Fantasy League for the World Cup. You simply pick the winners (or ties) for each game. You get points for being right. Its OK if you miss a game or two, you can still sign up. Simple and easy.
Sign up here:
http://games.espn.go.com/worldcup/frontpage
The group name is PFO.
The password to sign in is: aces
If you sign up for this league you are committing $5 (via PokerStars) to the winner.
If we don't know you very well on this site, please PM me to see if you "qualify". No offense, but we don't want any ringers in this that we can't trust to make good on the $5.
Good luck.

From ESPN:
How to Play
Its simple, you choose the outcome of each game (win/loss/draw) and we'll keep track of the points. You can sort the selection table by date or grouping, then choose the outcome for each game throughout the tournament - both Group Stage and Knockout Round. If you are correct with your choice of a winner or a draw, we'll award you points based on our scale:
Group Stage (48 matches): 1 point = 48 total points
Round of Sixteen (8 matches): 3 points = 24 total points
Quarterfinals (4 matches): 5 points = 20 total points
Semifinals (2 matches): 7 points = 14 total points
Consolation/Third Place (1 match): 5 points = 5 total points
Final (1 match): 9 points = 9 total points"There is a good chance I gave you a very bad description of something that doesn't work."

I would sign up, but can't we do the same thing we did for March Madness? Whoever wants to put in money can, while the others are just in for fun.

I prefer to keep it simple as possible. But if there are a few people who want to pick just for fun, i guess i could go along with it.
