I say Germany Is going to win over costa rica. don tliek them but theire tough playing style and theire "we can beat all" mindset..and they have Feild Advantage..theire a team to watch out for...

But my top 2 teams ( usa is 3rd for obvious reasons) are BRAzil and ITALY. I KNOW italy has a extremely talented squad and has a great striker to replace nedved and Buffon is in great shape..our players arent 100% but they sure are healthy.

brazil Is great..all there players an score and know how to win games.

But if USA won it would be great for the wrolds because I wonder would people hate us more or respect us?

that said im rooting for brazil and italy..and usa to beat chezch rep.

a good game to get it all started and some great goals......id really hate to be a keeper for the next month...after that game, theres bound to be more players taking pot shots from all angles.

germans looked ok going forward but an absolute disaster at the back.....shouldnt be that difficult to beat later in the month.

also nice to big big stringy Paolo scoring a couple..

i know I saound like a lay American, but that Germany v. Costa Rica game was one of the more fun games to watch. Not just because of the scoring, but, well yeahit was the scoring. But there was no defense anywhere. I mean 18 SOG from Germany and a lot were great scoring chances (Yeah, I'm using hawkee terms. I played for 8 years and coach it now. Sue me.)

I have a "guy." I don't know anything other than what I saw today. Philipp Lahm. I don't know why, but he's "my guy," as we say in Shi-caw-go.
