    Default World Cup

One week until the World Cup "kicks off"!

    :good:

Who are you pulling for? I know there must be a few England fans on here.
I had high hopes for the US, but their draw is possibly the toughest (Italy, Czech and Ghana). And if they finish 2nd in the group they win a 2nd round matchup with Brazil.

Anyway, I'm a big soccer fan and I love the World Cup. Looking forward to it.

US to win their group and Holland to win it all, cause I gots money on them

I always pull for italy since I'm 1/2 guinea, and Germany since I lived there. But US will be the #1 team I'm rooting for.

Italy is my second favorite (behind US). My sister married an italian and lives in Florence. She'll be in town with my niece and nephew when the US plays Italy on the 17th. I'm not sure who she roots for, but my nephew is a huge Italy fan. Can't wait for that game.

Ah you English sure do love your football.
I was in England during the Euro cup few years ago, you all are crazy, watched a few games including the one you all got out on where you got a Goal taken away near the very end and then david becham missed a penalty kick in the shoot out. Never seen so many angry englishmen hehe.

I do have to say i loved the atmosphere everyone was excited and there were english flags hanging out all the windows and on cars a such, wish america got that excited over national team sports.

Does Sport not generate the same passion in USA? Im shocked judging by the way the players and supporters were during Ryder Cup.

It worth all you americans checking out what time EST Englands world cup matches finish. Will be a lot of dead money being tilted off the night we lose! ALso probably a lot of drunken money on the nights we win!
