Default How did I play this?

I hit my card, but I hadn't put him anywhere near the hand he called with and really I kinda got lucky, although I had a few outs.

I think he should probably have folded to my shove, but then he had a good hand.

I dont fold the flop there 99% of the time, so many other hands he could have. Nice turn though.

Well, if you raise PF QJo (????) and get min raised, you have to call. When you flop 2pr, BB donks really small into you, I may be suspicious, but once you raise, and "they" shove, you're kinda stuck here and have to call hoping to see AQ/AJ/ppA/ppK.

My questions abut the hand, and these are not complaints, just observations....

    preflop:

Why are you raising MP with QJo? Just being aggro, as you are the big stack?

What did UTG limp with, that they can't call the raise? That is bad poker.

Why is the BB min raising with pp2? That is poor poker.

    postflop:

Why is BB donk betting 120 there? Baffling, and although it looks kinda trappy, a Check raise seems to be a better play, imo. Regardless donking that small is almost always trapping?

I think the BB played this hand much worse than you, yeah, you got lucky, but doesn't really matter. Once the turn comes, fireworks would have occurred regardless of what happened prior....

    Was a nice turn card.....

It's weird, I've been studying and playing my ass off for the past couple of weeks and looking back at this looks like looking at a different player.

The raise in MP was a little unusual but i might have been mixing it up or maybe was playing the table. Either way I think whilst his flop bet was weird, I should have been suspicious that he had something only good enough to limp in with but also good enough to call a raise with after a limp.

I think this is one of those classic 'nothing you can do' situations where once you've seen the flop, you're either going bust or doubling up because the choices you make then are easy, but the only way to avoid the bust entirely is to have not entered the pot with a marginal hand to begin with!

I agree with preflop. If it was suited I could understand, but it is a bit loose. His play to me screames big PP so with top 2, i'd get it in in a flash!
