Default ATs in 180 man MTT

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00+$0.40 Tournament, 75/150 Blinds (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (Button) (t1570)
    SB (t3760)
    BB (t6005)
    UTG (t12795)
    UTG+1 (t2635)
    MP1 (t5860)
    MP2 (t1475)
    CO (t1680)

    Hero's M: 6.98

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, A
    3 folds, MP1 calls t150, 2 folds, HERO??

This may seem like a silly question, but what is the best play after MP1 limps? Do I just put in a 3xBB raise and hope he folds? or do I flat call since I have position? or do I just shove all in since I have such a low M?

65 players left. Top 18 get paid. Im about 44/65.
MP1 had limped about 50% of the 8 hands id seen thus far at the table.

Shove. You'll leave yourself in a bad spot if you make a normal raise and miss the flop.

This is push or fold. You are pretty much pot committed if you raise 3xBB and get called. I lean more towards folding, but I'd need a little more information before making my final decision...

How have SB and BB been playing... Does BB defend his blind or easily let it go?

Have you seen MP1 limp big hands? AQ+, JJ+?

It appears that MP1 limps a wide range so shoving isn't too bad, and you need chips fast, but I'd like to know that it's probably going to be heads up instead of 3-way or 4-way before shoving.

One last thing to consider is when do the blinds increase. If soon, then lean more toward shoving, but if blinds just increased to 75/150, I'd lean more toward folding.

10 is fairly standard, but it does depend on how the table is playing. If it's a table of passive calling stations, I might wait for 5 before I'm shoving light.

    I shove this all day.

Generally I start playing push/fold with 10-15BBs or less.

Shove. This player is either slowplaying a monster or trying to see a cheap flop and my money's on the latter, especially given 4 limps in 8 hands.

Do you think he limps here with AJ AQ AK? Probably not. Put it in the middle.......all of it. Oh and because of the limps a 3x BB raise is no longer a good raise. You'd want to make it 4 or 5 to give him worse pot odds to call.
