Here's something that's always bothered me. If I bet them off here I'm gonna score 100 chips. If I check them It's hard for me to play because sometimes people will get extremely aggressive with top pair.
Look at this hand tell me where you play differently.

I check that river there because I thought he had top pair and thought he hit the set.

Bet more on turn. Why only 150??

The way I'd have played it, I'd have been all-in on the turn. (After raising PF and betting more on the flop)

I bet 150 because the pot was somewhere near........290? Honestly I'd like my bet to be more towards 200 here but not so much that I can't get away from the hand. Do you check the river here?

It says the turn pot was 350 so I would have bet no less than 300 into it. Also why would you be so ready to get away from this hand? Because you are scared he flopped a flush??

Yes. I saw him slow play 2 big hands (both flushes) on the big stack at the table, and ended up taking him out.

make it ~400/500 pf and if u get any callers, push any non A/K flop
as played, by only checking pf ur committing urself to playing a smallish pot unless the flop comes perfect (eg, Qxx when he also hits a rag set, monster draw etc). The flop bet is fine but id bet more on the turn, ~280-350. Depending on what villian is like, i may either check if hes likely to have a go at stealing it or throw out a smallish bet (200-300) to get value from rag hands he may have.
its all about making a current decision that makes future decisions easier......if u raise it pf and get called, its a lot easier to push the flop and let the gods decide ur fate. If u check pf, its a lot easier to let the hand go if an unfavourable comes and u meet resistence. For the best rakeback rates, greatest choice of poker rooms, more promotions, tournaments and bigger $$$ freerolls than any other rakeback affiliate, visit RakeTheRake, one of the largest and most reputable poker rakeback affiliates in the world.
