    Default live MTT deal decision

hi all, my first post here.

24 player live tourney. 5 players left. I don't have exact numbers but i'll report my chip count estimates from the table.

    1st place: $560, 2nd: $336 3rd: $224

    Blinds just raised to 4000/2000

    Me (button): 30,000
    #2 (sb): 60,000
    #3 (bb): 6,000
    #4 (utg): 90,000
    #5 (utg +1): 60,000

At this point, the big stack (who I watched drink at least 7 beers and would shove with ATC) asked to chop it 5 ways. Everyone else agreed and the decision was to me.

Seems like a no-brainer to take the deal with only 1/8th total chips, but allowing short stack to blind out and then chop was the logical move. Big stack was too drunk to keep playing, middle stacks were giddy just to make the money. Even the dealer was trying to talk me out of chopping with the small stack still in. Take the deal ($217 each)?

I would jump on that deal. Unless you think you can take down 1st.

Easy deal , fold a few hands and you are the short stack ready to bubble/gamble with the drunk big stack.

Yeah I pass on the deal, the BB is too small of a stack be involved in the discussion. Play a round a couple more times, see what happens to the SS, and then discuss a deal then. The big stack may have gone bust by then too.
Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
