I felt priced into a call from the SB and limped. Not sure if that was first mistake. Perhaps I should have folded or raised this hand. How should I have played this out?

Should I have played this different?

You can complete or fold it doesn't matter as long as you don't go crazy on a K only flop since there you are usually behind or even if not it's hard to get value out of this hand. Don't like the flop all-in at all , yes you are afraid of the flush but with that play you are getting them off hands like KQ, KJ ,K10 (unless they play bad)

I didn't think with that bad of pot odds that a draw would call.
What percent of pot do you think I should be betting there? And then check/fold the turn when flush completes

My point is , if you go allin on flop only better hands will call (maybe A9s , sometimes a bad player will get in but you are not getting value) .
I'd bet 3/4 pot (shove re-raise) and give up on that turn if flatted . If he is very loose/maniac would consider betting/going all in on turn as well. I'm not saying this is the best play but that's the line I would take most of the time .Build a poker bankroll , get $50 free starting capital!

Ok; do you think that if I was shorter stacked that the shove is any better? Or just a bad move all the way around? I have paid for this type of mistake many times in the long run.

If you are shorter you can't afford to complete the SB with garbage , anything less than 10-13 BB is a push-or-fold situation . Iso-shove depending on their limp-call range and other reads (Not with K8o, probably something like 44+ A10+, any suited broadway cards but this should depend on their range , let's assume villain limps and has VPIP 7 / PFR 2 over a large sample , you should tighten your range in that case)
4xpot bet is yelling "I have a huge hand" and if you are not looking to extract value at these spots just fold preflop .Build a poker bankroll , get $50 free starting capital!

Thanks.
What are VPIP and PFR? I downloaded Poker tracker 3 and it has a few terms like that I have no idea what they are.
me= still n00b (probably why I am currently loosing 1BB/100 hands for the last 20K hands)

If you play STT/MTT don't forget to check at Configure Hud Porfiles the "Stats from current Tournament Blind level only" field. Some players will start loose and tighten and you want to see how they play on a specific level. Don't know if PT3 has this , but in HM you can filter hands for 9 handed / 6 handed / 3 handed play or something similar , have not tried that just was explained in a training video .
VPIP (Voluntary Put Money In Pot) - Defines a players tightness/looseness and PFR is the Pre-flop raise percentage .
These stats help you to put your opponent on a range and play them accordingly .To get used to ranges and equity you should download PokerStove (Free).Build a poker bankroll , get $50 free starting capital!

Fold or raise PF don't just call. On the flop, a raise would've been better than a shove.
