    Default ATC shove?

Told myself it's a 100% shove as BB will be calling with AA-KK-QQ , maybe JJ , at least I would only call that in his spot .

But Looking back I should have made it a 1600ish raise and fold to a shove. He would probably shove back with the same range and in case it happens I leave some chips to make the money .

Maybe I'm going maniac in the bubble play sometimes but it's working so far

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 12 Tournament, 200/400 Blinds (4 handed) -

    Hero (SB) (t3870)
    BB (t3790)
    UTG (t810)
    Button (t5030)

    Hero's M: 6.45

Preflop: Hero is SB with X, X

I agree with raising. Shoving just unnecessarily puts your tourney life at risk, especially when UTG is hanging by a thread.

What we should be focusing on is the optimum raise size; one that makes BB fold a good amount of time, and that allows us to risk as little as possible. This really depends on your reads of the BB, but I think more like 1200 would be okay. 1600 just feels weird to me, because you end up bet/folding nearly 1/2 your stack.

    Agreed.

The reason being is that BB is really scared to make a call here even if he has 10 10 or AK. Those blinds are yours...you need to be aggressive on those bubble spots.

Problem would be the even stacks and that's my only concern. Having doubts probably because I'm being results oriented (ran into aces) .

I would say long term the blinds are yours. The BB is looking to hit the money and not gamble if he has anything other than AA, KK, QQ, AK. He should be folding almost everything knowing that UTG will be blinded out in another 8 hands max.
