Just played this hand in a heads up game and I'm wondering if I messed up somewhere or if it was just bad luck.

Where'd I go wrong?

I think you were wrong for calling his reraise after the flop. He called your re raise preflop and you hit nothing on the flop with a good possibility for a high 2 pair or straight draw. Were you trying to bluff maybe? Even with KA it still looked wrong to call that reraise after the flop unless you noticed him bluffing a lot in a similar position durinng previous hands

Fold to the raise on the flop, blinds are tiny compared to stacks, lots and lots of time to win in better situations rather than try hero moves here.

[QUOTE=JBar09;276141]Just played this hand in a heads up game and I'm Well, online poker is just mathematically rubbish anyway. But, in this instance, lets say it was a casino game, forget the online bit! It is a marginal call preflop by your opponent. But having seen the flop, I have to say you played badly! AK is just a drawing hand...22 beats it, sorry if i sound condescending, i dont mean to be. sometimes you just have to accept that a rubbish call has hit, suck it in and let go! He isn't putting his str8 draw down. Pre flop, it is possible he's read you as having a middle pair say. He therefore may even be thinking he can bluff you off the pot by representing the Q. Post flop, I'd have folded. sorry!

Its too early to go broke. There is way more game to play. I think you way overplayed your hand which was 2 overcards and and inside draw. This is not a big hand
