Default Did I make the right decision?

i decided to call his raise in hopes of making the straight and because of the fact that I was fairly short stacked, but ended up getting knocked out. Was this a bad decision, or just bad luck?

Everything about this hand is wrong. Your call of a 10x UTG+1 raise with 9-high is in a word, terrible. Once you've put 1/3 of your stack in and you're getting 2-1, the flop call is probably defensible, but God, don't put yourself in that spot. You started the hand with 33bb's.

Yes, absolutely horrible preflop. On the flop, I would probably fold, but seriously, there is no good choice to make there. You completely screwed yourself preflop. Like MoreheadD said, you had 33 big blinds left at the beginning of the hand. It won't hurt you one bit to fold and give one of them up.

it might just be me but I never call all ins with draws. With a paired board the full house is possible making draws more difficult. If you want to be all in on draws make sure your shoving not calling because the other player may fold the winning hand to your massive bet. Keep in mind he is not folding 777 for anything

It was the pre-flop play that was bad. Should've waited for something better.

You should play tighter preflop when sitting on 33BB's. You may be short stacked compared to some other players but the blinds are still small... no need to panic. If the blinds are 50/100 then that is a different situation.
