Hello, first post here so apologies if I do something wrong. I've been searching the archives but can't find the answer to my question.
Background to the hand is it's a low stakes MTT with about 150 players left, 60 get paid. The Hero suffered a bad beat to the villain earlier in the tourney which would have knocked the villain out. Hero has rebuilt stack to be the big stack at the table, villain is 2nd stack. In the last few rounds villain has opened the pot with an all in bet and everyone has folded. Then this hand came: Villain is UTG and pushes, Hero has QQ and calls from middle position. All others fold. Villain turns over AK unsuited and wins with Ace on flop.

SB (t950)
BB (t8480)
UTG (t9965)
Hero's M: 31.24
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q, Q
8 folds, UTG raises to t9965 (All-In), Hero calls t9965, 2 folds
Flop: (t20380) 5, 6
, K
(2 players, 1 all-in)
Turn: (t20380) 5(2 players, 1 all-in)
River: (t20380) 6(2 players, 1 all-in)
Total pot: t20380
So, my question is, with such a high M should I be laying down QQ here or was the call the right thing? (As an aside, I busted out of the MTT 7 places off the bubble all in with 99 on the button. SB called with AQ).

Thanks for the reply. That was my mistake with the hand conversion software. I didn't play this tourney on Party Poker. The hand history from Poker Heaven was incompatible with the conversion tools so I had to copy a Party Poker hand history and paste in the names and numbers from the hand I played.

Nice call. You should expect to be up against a good hand but you're still ahead of his range and you can't sit around all day waiting for aces.

i actually think it's a good call. i think under the gun player has AK. so you go 55/45 to become a HUGE stack. if you lose you're still alive.
