I don't feel great about my play when I flop a set of aces generally. I feel like I have a great hand but the ace often scares players out of giving me much more action. So I generally just cbet as I would if I had AK and hope somebody wants to play along. I'm not sure if this is the best approach. In this hand I had a 57/14 donk in BB and a new player in MP. The donk was deepstacked and impossible to range so I just said screw it and put the cbet in there hoping he'd find a reason to hang himself. Am I playing well or does a hand this strong call for a slowplay in circumstances like this?

You gota bet that flop, if its something like A28r then maybe not.
I think I make it bigger, their range contains more FDs and gutshot SDs than 9s.

What do ya'll think about checking the turn if you get calld on the flop. Any card. Because in my experience, I get called on flop, bet turn, and then win it there, which is fine... but would there ever really be a bad time to check the turn? I guess besides the obvious flush draw scare.

You would be giving away information if you did something different than normal. So if you normally cbet in position with Ax, KK, QQ, whatever, then cbet here too. Like 22fish said, bet more on this flop. You are giving almost correct odds for a flush draw to call (640 into a pot that is now 1760 = 36.36%), and they have any kind of draw more often than anything better.
