It's been 3 way action here for about 2 blind levels. SB has been shoving a lot and abusing the bubble situation well which is creating problems. When we got down to 3 handed I had about $1700 and BB had about $2700 and I have been shoving just enough to maintain my stack while BB is trying to fold his way into the money (1st:$23.40,2nd:$12.60). I think I've taken the right approach so far as being the shortstack means I will lose any folding war so I've been trying to get a chip advantage over BB and force him into the game. Unfortunately I've attained parity and BB still won't play.
If I start just folding all the time too then I think we gift wrap 1st place for SB and BB and I have about a 50/50 chance of taking 2nd. If I keep shoving then eventually SB or BB will wake up with a hand and call me down which exactly what BB has been playing for.
What is the best approach for this hand and this bubble situation in general?
