I think the difference between the 3bet and the 3bet shove is how comfortable you feel playing against any of the players involved in the hand post flop. If you have good reads on them and feel you have the edge post flop, then I say 3bet and out play them postflop...If you aren't comfortable with your post flop play against these players (for a lot of reasons that could have nothing to do with your personal abilities) then shoving is better.

being comfortable post flop is not the issue, if we make a regular cash sized 3bet we're more than likely to get flatted because people play shit, and in turn we're going to miss ~2/3 and have way less than a psb. there's no room to "outplay" people.

How does confidence postflop affect this? There's not enough chips to play postflop.
