    Presuming the UTG limper is a total station (as you usually can), I just iso him small for value.

    No problem. Without other reads that this is a very strong hand (usually AA because people think its unbeatable) that wants lots of raises without giving away their strength, a person limping in in first position is likely a bad player who will call bets with a wide range which you beat.
    As such we want to raise his weak play with a hand like this so that it is easy to play against the one weak player and to build a pot where he cannot get away from his top pair or middle pair hands.

    Although it will not happen a huge amount in myexperiance raising also allows you to pick up a 950 chip pot which will add a good preportion to your stack without having to see any cards.
