Default What did I do wrong?

OK, so I decided to play my first MTT. It had 1600 players, 10 to a table. I was playing tight, and the rare hands I did play I won big on, knocking a person out each time so I had a way above average stack. Then this run happened, indispersed with folding absolute crap like 27o:

    GAME #-2076888591: Texas Hold'em NL Tournament 2009-04-27 21:18:51
    Table $6,000 GP Freezeout, 290065583, -1763813525 (Tournament: $6,000 GP Freezeout Buy-In: $5+$0.50)
Seat 1: vase ($1,370.00 in chips)

So, what did I do wrong? Also, does anyone know of a PT3 hand converter website which can convert hands for MTTs?

I mainly bet 3x preflop. Is this not enough? I do wonder if it would make a difference at these stakes?

those stats are meaningless in a MTT. There are so many different variables in tournaments: structure, stack sizes, table dynamics etc.
