Fold preflop to a raise. If it was folded to you, shove.

i'm dead serious. unless he got his stack crippled the previous hand, he shouldn't have allowed his stack to dwindle to this point which is the mistake in itself.

to the hand in question, jharding has covered everything.

I think we need to determine what tourney we're playing here before we make this statement. It appears to be a 27man SnG given this is the final table in which case sitting with 7.5bb's would be fine

While a lot of the fold/shove posts here are right, since you don't have any fold equity, I'm thinking there is no question, it's a fold. The reason is because even if UTG is raising fairly light (have to have a read for that determination, most of his hands still have you dominated. The only hands you're playing well against here that may raise from UTG pre is 88 and 99. Almost anything else he flips over you're going to hate to see.

If it had been folded to you and you shoved, that's a different matter, but calling with this hand is a mistake...imo.

This stack is obviously not ideal but it's not a mistake allowing it to reach this size given it's not a huge MTT.
