Well played villain. I was pretty sure when he repopped that it was this considering he checked the flop and stalled on my turn 1/2 pot raise.

I was happy to see this hand. How sick right? When he repopped I instantly thought about how he was last to act and did not C-bet. I really don't think I had a choice though. Either way I ended up stacking a short stack 2 hands later with jacks full so I'm not too depressed. Either way I wanted to post this for some reason. I guess maybe to ask........if you're almost certain that he's full up with kings do you play it any different? I feel that I shouldn't have played it different.

Set over set is rare (im aware you both had boats but im just saying from a set over set perspective). I don't think many people could have got away from this hand after hitting the boat on the turn. You know a 3 isn't likely and that AK with a flat call is possible. The check on the flop with 2 spades out can either be a donk who doesn't kno to bet to close out any flush draws. His range depending on your read of him could be fairly strong ranging from 88+ to ATs+ and the call on the turn could definitely scream I'm chasing a flush which I now caught on the river.
Its a tough spot for anyone. Even if you cbet that flop and just get called.. the turn is going to string you away for more of your stack regardless.

You should bet more on the turn.

I like PF a lot more if hero is in position but so long as you play fit-or-fold postflop it's not a huge error imo.

I don't like pre-flop mainly because while hero's stack size is decent, PFR's stack size is only about 11x the raise. I usually go for 15-20x stack sizes when set mining to a PF raise.
I understand current logic dictates that it's 10x but I feel that I can only use 10x if I'm sure I'm going to stack the guy when my set hits. Since I feel I need some wiggle room for the times I hit my set but drive him off his hand, I need to cover those times with the extra chips I get when I hit and do stack them.
As played, I don't see you getting away from it. There are so many times this guy is going to show down something like AQs for the rivered flush that make this kind of play worth it. His flat on the turn almost screams nut flush draw. Chalk it up as a cooler and move on

PF is debatable but not bad I think.
Also, Trons, I'm pretty sure no one is advocating folding a boat with 90BB effective stacks in a micro tournament.
