    Default Line check.......

Read on villain..........Calls almost all of my raises......shows down hands like A-5o........etc. I figured I was behind when I called his raise but because of his range I called just to see a flop. Not my normal play but I've been trying new things in order to stop sucking at poker.

    Pre-flop: (150, 8 players) Hero is MP2 : :
3 folds, Hero calls 100, 1 fold, AKASnoopy raises to 300, 2 folds, Hero calls 200

    Flop: : : : (750, 2 players)
Hero bets 400, AKASnoopy raises to 800, Hero raises to 1,600, AKASnoopy raises to 2,400, Hero goes all-in 2,840, AKASnoopy calls 440

I'm fucking with him here........against what I would perceive as a good player I wouldn't make stupid raises that would leave me crippled.... I would just get it all in.

limp/calling sucks, raise it or fold it. I'd fold it

your read is that villain calls you down light, but that doesn't mean anything when he's raising. what's his raising range?

Same crap he was calling with. His hands had poor showdown value....it just so happens that people were being idiotic and pushing AK on like a 467 board and he'd have a piece and hold up.

I dunno, against someone who doesn't raise much preflop and doesn't fold any kind of hand on any street, I think limping in with suited connectors is pretty good, no? I mean, why do we raise hands preflop? 1) To take down the pot if possible, 2) To build the pot to make it easier to get lots of money in post-flop if we get a good hand. If the guy's not going to fold anything better than T7o preflop, and will call any bet with any pair post-flop, I don't see what the point of raising is, except maybe to isolate him if there are a number of other loose-but-slightly-less-loose players at the table.

What's your read on BB? That's significant if you're just going to limp, cause you're letting him see a flop for free, and his presence might affect your ability to take advantage of the villain, depending on how he plays.

The way to deal with this is to play aggressive, not to join them! Raise PF if you want to play the hand.
