Ok, Im not sure where to put this thread but this seems to be most fitting place.
I recently decided to go back to playing SnG's after a long and not very satisfying attempt at low stakes NL cash games. It's been a long time since I've grinded SnG's and I think my edge may be gone for the $10 range games (Im kicking the hell out of the $2 games for now until I get my BR up).
Anyway, I was on another forum today (sorry) and read a thread that talked about a program called SnG Wizard that analyzes your hands and basically helps you improve your short handed strategy. I assume that there are other programs similar or just like this one out there, but basically I was hoping some of you guys had any advice on whether it's worth buying or not (Im not dumping a hundred bucks for nothing), and if not then is there anything that is?
Don't mention Poker Tracker or Poker AceHUD please, I am familiar with them. Thanks for the help.

yes, if you want to succeed in online sngs you will *need* sng wiz, and probably sng power tools although i think the latter is outdated now.
very robitic and beatable game if you have the patience and tilt control, check the STT forums on 2p2 for strategy advice

I guess by short-handed strategy you mean short-stacked strategy.
I wrote a tool myself for that for realtime use (see sig), unfortunatley PokerStars has prohibited all SnG tools recently, except for post-game analysis which I personally find somewhat useless. There's no way you can possibly remember the outcome of millions of different scenarios that may occur, since the $EV calcuations depend on blinds, stack sizes, distance from bubble and your hand.
So it boils down to some simple rules of thumb, almost always push in the SB, then tighten up considerably OTB and earlier.
Best is prolly to make a nice pushbot chart for SnGs and print it out. I'm too lazy right now however

If it's simply a short-stack push strategy you need buy the follow up to Kill Phil; Kill Everyone, there are some really good charts that show what to push and what to call with based on stack sizes/bubble factor/prize structure. It basically lumps hands into top 10%, 25%, and so on, then gives you an idea on when to push and call.

Is "Kill Everyone" a book or a program? If it's a book and all I need is the charts then I assume there is some place online with the same/similar charts which I can get for free (possibly?).
Also, are the charts something that I could actually use while I am playing, or are they too complicated and I would just have to study them?I'm really uncreative when it comes to signatures

It's a book, and the charts are very simple to use, they actually set them up on opposite pages so you can reference them while playing
Lastly, Just buy the book you cheap bastard!!!!Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog
