standard. i do the exact same thing.

ur obv not folding when the desperate UTG pushes and u dont want to call, which is just inviting others to come along for the ride. U most likely have the best hand at the table right now so nh.

    Nothing wrong with that.

Now you just have to win a race.

he's UTG and knows next round he'll be sitting in the blind, his hand range is very wide

I don't think Dizzy is asking if his 99 is good against UTG's range. Come on people, think a little bit deeper.

if you play to win first, it's good play....

if you planned to finish top 3, there's a little more risk involded with a hand like that, since CO, SB, BB can break you (or severly dammage your stack) and they will only call if they have you beat or with AK.

Conclusion : depends. If the table is weak, I fold wait for a better spot, outplay the others. If the table is strong (A lot of more better players than me), I call.

if you missed the part where everyone said it's a good push, I think that clearly implies that the move is still correct with four people to act behind

    Always play to win.

If I win this pot with a coinflip (best case scenario) im up to almost 4000 chips and will make the money easily - hopefully being able to take a better chip advantage so I can play the bubble more agressively - putting me in a better situation when I get to HU play. Some may argue that 3000 is almost enough to make the money, but I would disagree with 3000 being enough with 6 players left.

If anyone behind me has a better hand then C'est la vie, because I think the only hands they can call with are AA/KK and maybe AK/QQ.
