Default Did I play this correctly?

The game is NL Hold em Freeroll.
Its the first hand of the game I am dealt 99 UTG.
About 4 limpers.
Flop come 9 8 2 rainbow.I bet 75 (blinds 10-20) And I get two callers.
Turn is an Ace, I check being first to act, hoping someone will have an ace, or try to make a stab at the pot. Instead everybody checks.
River is a 6. I bet 350, everyone folds except a raiser who doubles my raise. I Immediately raise all in.

He shows 10-7 for the straight. I wanted to punch my computer.

did i play this correctly? I feel like I did, but I just got unlucky because he hit his straight. Betting on the turn was surely an option, but being UTG, i wanted to entice a few betters, and then go over the top.

Getting as much money in the pot when you're ahead = Playing good.
Getting all the money in behind = Playing bad. (coolers are exceptions)

Never slow play in a free roll.

in a freeroll and the ace comes and you bet first , the ace isnt going to go away , i actualy find in freerols and low limit tornis the gutshot isnt going away either

so i think definately make them pay , or at least think about paying for their draws

as it was you wouldnt be folding anywy unless an obvious 4 card straight is there?

89 is a scary flop for me with limpers , people love 10 j 98 76 etc when they can get in cheap , or even when they have to pay
