    Default continuation raise?

    been playing tight

    Poker Stars
    No Limit Holdem Tournament
    Blinds: t25/t50
    8 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: t720
    UTG+1: t1013
    MP1: t1658
    MP2: t1077
    Hero: t1607
    Button: t1460
    SB: t3205
    BB: t2760

    Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is CO with
    4 folds, Hero raises to t150, 2 folds, BB calls t100 (pot was t225).

    Flop: (t325, 2 players)
    BB bets t100, Hero raises to t300, BB folds.
    Uncalled bets: t200 returned to Hero.

    Results:
    Final pot: t525
    also, is it ok to be open raising hands like this in LP this early in a STT?

    Eh I am def no STT champion but I don't feel comfortable loosening up that early. I wait till 100.200 But like I said, and you know, I am no champ.

    I do like the raise though the K is def a scare card and the BB is just calling he could be playing 22+ there. AQ AJ A10 all missed..his range is huge there.

    Sometimes people put out a small bet to see where they stand, just like this one. The continuation raise usually only works once or twice, as people will start catching on and start underbetting to induce a bluff raise out of you when they actually do have the best of it. Always gotta be mixing it up

    Standard, it's a weak so you raise, usually pot sized and they fold more than half of the time.

    I can 100% assure you with absolute certainty that folding preflop is the correct STT play, even though almost everyone will disagree.

    I agree, at least at this point when its only early days and the blinds are still small. You stand to gain very little from raising here but can get yourself in a position where you lose a lot.

    On the button this MIGHT be more acceptable if it is folded to you but I am still not so sure when it's only lvl2
