    Default Rewarding fold

UTG = solid player. Showed a lot of good hands at showdown. Tight agressive player.

    Button = very loose aggressive

Me = I had a tight image all tourney long. People respected my raises and bets. Top 2 in the money. This situation comes up :

PokerStars No Limit Hold-em Tourney ($3.00+$0.25), Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from triple-t
    (Format: PokerForums.org)

    saw flop|saw showdown

    BB (t805)
    UTG (t3020)
    Button (t2315)
    Hero (t2860)
    Hero is SB with .
    Pre-Flop:
UTG raises to t600, Button raises to t2315 All-In, 2 folds, UTG calls.

    Flop: (Pot=t4930) (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Turn: (Pot=t4930) (2 players, 1 all-in)

    River: (Pot=t4930) (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Results in white below:
UTG has Kc Ac, A Pair of Tens
Button has 7d 7h, Two Pairs, Tens and Sevens
Button wins t4930 from Main Pot.

I was 100% sure I'm either beat or coin flip situation. In this situation, I would of won, but because I folded, one player would be severely crippled and I had a shot to finish ITM and win. I knew I could outplay anybody on the table. So I folded. I was right about the tight aggressive player. He had AK. I did not want to coin flip my tourney life. My read was right +, I knew I could outplay anybody, and that'S what happened. I finish first ! I call wouldn't of been bad either, but I felt at that time, a fold was better for me.

Moral of the story : it's ok to fold a big hand, if you don't need to gamble. Especially if you know you are the best at the table.

Great laydown! Certainly helped that you had gathered the playing styles of the people you were with and adjusted accordingly. Glad to hear you came out on top too!

I don't see how you would've won, am I missing something?

great fold with QQ. Many people would make the mistake of calling there. I easily fold QQ thinking its the best hand but with a short stack hanging around and 2 all-ins 4-handed, this should be an easy fold given the stack sizes. WP, sir

    edit
hmmm just re read post and saw top 2 get paid. Very tough situation. If it paid top 3 it would be a very easy fold, but as if you think you're beat then fold. No reason to not go against your reads.
