That's pretty standard. Anytime you flop boat or quads on a two-tone board with multiple opponents, check/calling is a good option from early position as the flush drawers will almost always call any bet, but they'll not be as likely to call two cold.

You have to bet on the turn, which you did, but you have to bet more because there's if the diamond doesn't river, you won't get anymore money from the FD.
