With an M of around 8, AQo is the absolute minimum I call the shove with. I can't say it's a bad play, as SB might be trying a squeeze, but I might be folding in this spot.

I would've folded that because I figure about a 10% chance that I would be ahead preflop. I figure him on a mid-high pair or AK (most people LOVE shoving with AK because they think it's the almighty if you get 1v1 all in )

It says you're on table 93, right? Meaning there's still a helluva long way to go til the money, and this is just not a sure enough situation to be risking your tournament life on, this early in the tourney. Doing well in MTT's comes from a mixture of solid card and opponent play as well as risk minimization, meaning if you're going to be all-in preflop, you better be DAMN sure you are going to win.

Most of it of course, as always, depends on your read of the opponent. If he has been super tight, give him credit for the raise and live to fight another day, with a better hand. If he tends to be an opportunist and doesn't always have the cards to back it up, then a call might be profitable, but still iffy (these types of players sometimes like to use their loose image as a weapon when wielding a monster hand, making huge overbets to lure others into not believing them). If he is more of a sneaky, check-raise type of player, then he might be using some reverse psychology - in that he is making such a ridiculous overbet and forcing the pressure of calling all your chips in, that it appears as such an obvious bluff move that you will be tempted to call, whereas he really has a monster. He would rather take you down all at once than give you a chance to see a flop.

It can be confusing I know, but that's what practice and experience with different play styles is for, so most of it becomes a "gut feeling", when it's actually a subconscious database of countless experiences.

Fold PF. Hand after next you're on the button so there's a load of better hands than AQo for you to shove wiht coming later.

Just because he's on table 93 doesn't mean he's nowhere near the end of the tourney. Stars closes tables as needed. Table 1 could be the 1st table closed, or it could be the final table.

Guys, I don't know that he's going to find a better spot to get his money in. There's some dead money in the pot, the potential to quadruple up, and if the original raiser and caller fold, he's heads-up against a possible squeeze-play who doesn't have to have that much of a hand.

As I mentioned before, AQo is the minimum hand I'm calling with. I may even fold. It all just depends on any reads I may have.

The problem with AQ is they ALWAYS have AK.

I fold here, I prefer to be the one to make the move rather than be the caller.

I have called in this sort of spot before though (and regretted it)

this would be my biggest concern. The shove is huge, but you have two callers behind that have already shown strength. AQ isn't a hand I want all my money in with when there could be four opponents.

I mean, yeah, they did fold, but am I wrong to not assume they would in this situation?

This is exactly why I fold in this situation.
