Player has been pretty tight thus far. Villain (harlekin) limps in in front of me, I raise with AK suited, everyone else folds, he calls. I miss the flop but he checks so I cbet, he calls. He checks again and I don't want to show that I have nothing so I bet again, but he reraises all-in.

This seems to happen to me EVERY time I miss the flop and have position. On the other hand if I check, they make a bet on the next street because I've shown weakness. Should I just always check if I miss, because whenever I bet if I miss (and I made the initial raise PF), I always seem to be trapped.

I just don't know what to do.
