Default AK in position vs. laggy CO, am I always going broke here?

Full Tilt Poker, 5,000 FTP Sat to $1k Monday, Big Blind is t100, (9 handed)

    SB - Seat #1 - (1,470)
    BB - Seat #2 (2,354)
    UTG - Seat #3 (855)
    UTG+1 - Seat #4 (3,400)
    EP - Seat #5 (1,320)
    MP1 - Seat #6 (4,560)
    MP2 - Seat #7 (110)
    CO - Seat #8 (4,750)
    Hero - Seat #9 (3,490)

    Preflop: Hero is button with
2 folds, EP calls 100, 2 folds, CO raises (250) to 350, Hero raises (1,050) to 1,200, CO raises (3,000) to 4,750 and is all in, Hero calls (2,290) and is all in, 3 folds

    Flop: (t7,230)

    Turn: (t7,230)

    River: (t7,230)

    Final Pot: t7,230

    Results in white below:
CO showed Ks Kc and won with two pair, Kings and Queens.
Hero showed Ah Kh and lost with a pair of Queens.
CO collected t7,230 from the main pot.

CO was very, very laggy, three and fourbetting every pot. If I had PT his stats would have been something like 70/50/5, he was absolutely mental, kept getting paid off by stations when he hit. Is there anything I could have done here? Of the 51 hands I'd played I'd only seen 6 flops and one turn, my stats would have been something like 10/8/2, I think I was playing really well but perhaps a little nitty- I folded AQ and 44 from MP in limped pots earlier because I didn't want to get involved in 50-50s, but it seems I picked a bad time to loosen up here - see how tight I was being, I call playing AK off the button "loosening up" - anyone folding this PF? Looking back I think I might have gotten away from it against a tight opponent but I'd seen this guy go all in with weak aces and small pairs before.

Was my PF raise too big? Pot was t600 so I was happy to take it down there.

I love how the royal flush draw comes just to give me hope just before crushing me.

I don't blame you, I'd go broke here as well. Sick flop too

I just can't help feeling like I could have gotten away after he pushed and still had ~23 BBs.

I was playing really really TAG and I feel like I blew it kinda here. It's a bit of a cunt 'cos he'd make the same move with KQ or A6.

If it was KQ I'd be hella pissed at the flop/turn though.

RE: My PF raise. Could I have possibly raised a little less and not committed myself so much? Anyone just call?

dont jump down my throat about this opinion, but it must be stated as i LOOOVE getting debates started .

In HoH volume 1 harrington explains different styles of play for MTT, one OF which would be the Super Aggro style.
The way you explained this dudes play sounds very similar to this guy, and i could be completely wrong (i would need specific HHs to justify my reasoning) but he plays this way for a very specific reason, and that would be the HH shown above.

if the table is passive and this guy has the stack to do it, playing very LAG can be very profitable if his post flop play is very solid (once again HHs to justify my reasoning) his image at the table is LAG/Donk, and when he picks up a solid hand, hes gonna get mucho action for it.

once again i would need HHs to check out his post flop play, but im simply putting another spin on this thread.

but you played that very standard, its hard to read LAG ass players like this.
    AsuitedKing: justify the call
EhRa: he hits his set und waited that i hitz something and he dindt play he only goes allin
EhRa: tahts a big donk ... so ****

I'm not critting his play, he wasn't being hyper-aggro with total rags, his range overall was Ax, K9-KQ, Q8-QJ, J7-JT, suited connectors and any pairs. He'd overplay the smaller hands but it was working for him. Especially in this situation, if I wasn't so nitty today I might've made this move with AJ or even AT knowing he'd shove any ace.

the only thing I would do different is not reraise just call his raise. You have position on him on the flop. But now, he bets out the flop and you are all in / reraise all in, same result at the end...

if you dont get it in PF, you're 100% getting it in on the flop. That flop is SICK.

Yeah, that's true actually, on that flop AK vs KK is like 55/45ish according to CardPlayer.com. Even against AA I'm 45/55 on that flop.

    What a cunt of a turn/river, I should've had that shit.
